Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a hands on technique that focuses on releasing tension and restrictions within the fascia, the connective tissue network that surrounds and supports muscles, bones, and organs throughout the body. Unlike traditional massage that primarily targets muscle tissue and uses oil on the body, MFR addresses the entire fascial system, recognising that restrictions in one area can affect other seemingly unrelated parts of the body.

Without using oil I will use gentle, sustained pressure to identify and release areas of fascial tightness, aiming to restore length, flexibility, and function. This approach can alleviate pain, improve range of motion, and address a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, trauma and injuries. MFR can be beneficial to receive both before and after surgery as it can support recovery and natural healing, especially around scars, (even many years after surgery). The goal of MFR is to promote a more fluid and balanced state within the body, allowing for improved posture, reduced stress, emotional release and enhanced overall well-being.
